Nicola Power

I trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist after having a career as a social researcher in Health Policy for many years. I am a BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist (MBACP Accred) with a Diploma in Counselling from the London Gestalt Centre and a Diploma in Couples Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education.

I work with individuals, couples and families as well as offering training and group facilitation.

Addiction

I have a particular interest and many years of experience working with people suffering from addictions and supporting clients to let go of unhelpful dependencies or destructive patterns of behaviour.

Menopause

I also have an interest in supporting women as they transition through the mental health challenges of perimenopause to a happy and purposeful postmenopausal life.

LGBTQI+ affirmative

I welcome people of all sexualities and genders as well as those exploring these aspects of themselves.

ADHD and Neurodivergence

I have experience of working with clients with ADHD and ASD diagnoses or living with neurodivergent traits.
