I trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist after having a career as a social researcher in Health Policy for many years. I am a BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist (MBACP Accred) with a Diploma in Counselling from the London Gestalt Centre and a Diploma in Couples Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education.
I work with individuals, couples and families as well as offering training and group facilitation.
I aim to create a safe and nurturing space where you can bring your difficulties to be heard without judgement allowing us to explore together how you can overcome them.
I will support you to develop your awareness and access the insights that you need to live a happier and more purposeful life.
I have a particular interest and many years of experience working with people suffering from addictions and supporting clients to let go of unhelpful dependencies or destructive patterns of behaviour.
I also have an interest in supporting women as they transition through the mental health challenges of perimenopause to a happy and purposeful postmenopausal life.
I welcome people of all sexualities and genders as well as those exploring these aspects of themselves.
I have experience of working with clients with ADHD and ASD diagnoses or living with neurodivergent traits.
Confidentiality and safe boundaries are assured to support your healing. I provide an environment where you can feel comfortable to explore thoughts and feelings that are causing you distress or confusion.
