Individual Counselling

I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety or depression, dealing with addictions, living with chronic pain, having relationship or work problems or dealing with the impact of trauma or loss.

Couples Psychotherapy

I also work with couples who are dealing with conflict, infidelity, intimacy or communication problems or who have found themselves at a stage in their relationship where they need a safe space to explore some issues together.

Working with challenging thoughts & feelings

Unhelpful thoughts can be a source of distress. These can take the form of ruminating about the past or worrying about the future and can even feel ‘intrusive’ or ‘obsessive’ at times. Exploring these thoughts together and what ‘they are doing for you’ can help you to be free from the power they hold over you.

We can also store painful memories, experiences or emotions in our body rather than ‘in our heads’, which is why you may find yourself feeling anxious in certain situations or environments, for no apparent reason. I use somatic (body based) and mindfulness based approaches to help clients work through these issues, learning to self regulate when feeling stressed or anxious.

Menopause Club

I offer support to women dealing with the mental health impact of the menopause either individually or in an online support group setting. Reach out to me to find out more.
